The current version of the program is 1.2 and was updated on 6/15/2007. This software is available for users with the operating system Mac OS X and former versions, and you can get it only in English.

CrowzNest is a reasonably light program that does not require as much storage space than most software in the category Internet software. It's a very heavily used program in Germany.

CrowzNest acts as a lookout and monitors local folders for activity. The folders being monitored are called Hot Folders. CrowzNest will only monitor folders nominated by the user and these folders are directly linked to a corresponding folder on a remote FTP site.

The CrowzNest icon can be seen in the System Status Bar and runs continuously, monitoring all Hot Folders for activity. When a file is changed or added to the Hot Folder CrowzNest will detect the change and submit the file to be automatically uploaded using Captain FTP's Transfer Manager.

To create a Hot Folder simply open CrowzNest and click on Add '+' button to enter the details. Click on the Hot Folder button and browse the local directory structure to select the folder to be monitored. Next add the details for the remote FTP Server and folder to upload the files to. CrowzNest will support remote servers with FTP, SFTP, SSL with Passive and Active modes.
